Chef Antonia Lofaso's cuisine is an invitation to dive into deep into her interior world. Her curiosity grew as she left her home in the Long Island suburbs to explore the rich cultural diversity of Los Angeles. The belief in the idea that cavatelli and carnitas are able to coexist in harmony on a single menu portrays a style that is constantly evolving. What remains is her singular view of the future, while looking back to the previous. Scopa Italian Roots is a restaurant founded by Lofaso in 2013. It was founded by the chef as a result of her heritage as an Italian-American. Lofaso is lauded for her interpretation of traditional Italian cuisine. Lofaso has been praised by many as a local favourite that serves up meals that are delicious, authentic and inviting. Lofaso studied from chefs with sophisticated cooking techniques. She didn't hesitate to take extreme chances to honor her intuition. She swiftly rose up the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago after which she went into working closely with celebrities in various Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso launched Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. She was able to secure an outlet in Black Market as well as the partnerships she established. This collaboration would foster the creative freedom Lofaso longed for. Black Market does not have a single direction, that's the intention. One course may begin with potatoes chips, peppers and Dill. Then it's Korean wings and meatballs. Antonia's distinctive flavors form the foundation of these bold flavors. Lofaso has, over the course of her career, has measured success by how well she is able to comprehend her audience. She also stays authentic to her personality. She's been on of many television shows, such as Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars as well as Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals. Her talents continue to be recognized in her role as a judge on the CNBC's Restaurant Startup. Lofaso joined forces together with Penguin In 2012, she teamed up with Penguin to launch The Busy Mum's Cookbook, 100 Recipes for Delicious Home-cooked Meals. This book also contains her personal story of the obstacles she faced while attending an institution called the French Culinary Institute and raising her daughter Xea. Lofaso believes that all of her achievements are the result of her love cooking, and she's able to keep a finger in the middle of the industry through her work in the kitchen. Through her Chefletics brand, she's changing the look of her field by redesigning clothes for the kitchen that are stylish as well as practicality. Lofaso's main concern is to remain in line with her mission. With this in mind, she launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. This provides customers with the most personal service.
