Bella Poarch is a Filipino born to biological Filipino parents. She was born February 9 in 1997. Her adoption took place at the age of 3 by her maternal grandmother who lived in slums. Her adopted father, a Filipina-American who has a military background was white, and American. The woman claims she and her adopted brother were abused from when they were children before she joined the military. They lived with their aunt living in San Francisco for several months before moving back to Texas to celebrate her 13th birthday because of the requirement of her father to undergo bypass surgery. She says the physical abuse subsided within a couple of months but that she continued to suffer from emotional abuse from her father. Poarch joined the United States Navy when she turned 18. Poarch started her TikTok account in April 202020. She quickly rose to fame, amassing more than 40,000,000 fans in under eight months. She uploaded many videos, but the one that was most popular was her rendition of Millie B's viral hit Soph Aspin Send. She synthesized and moved to the tune in a zoomed-out video. In the months after joining TikTok she launched a YouTube as well as a Twitter account to capitalize on the fame. Her fame grew to a peak during the month of December, 2020. Poarch was reportedly the subject of interest of two professional Esports teams. 100 Thieves as well as FaZe Clan expressed interest in having her hired as a content creator under the respective brands.
