Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden, born on the 14th of August, 1959, in La Jolla (California), was the third of five. Beverly Bushfield Her mother, worked as a housewife as Thad Harold Harden served in the army. Her family moved frequently. When they lived in Greece She became interested with theater and went to Athens performances. Harden went on to study at American Universities in Europe but returned to the US in 1983, to complete her studies at the University of Texas. She earned an MFA from NYU and started her acting career. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers' cleverly satirical homage to the 1990 film about gangsters, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden was in films in the year 1986 (in the less-known The Imagemaker), she appeared as a seductive female lead in her first mainstream performance. Harden was praised for her stunning performance as Verna as a stunning, mischievous woman. Harden kept working hard in the role of a supporting actress, as Ava Gardner in Sinatra (92) which was a biopic made for TV about Frank Sinatra.
